Matt Hayes, owner of Performance Cruising is a regular visitor to Slovenia and a long time seller of Elan yachts. This year, the Elan yacht on display was purchase by a young Tasmanian couple with little experience in sailing, and they were as their first main sail taking the yacht from Sydney to Hobart!

Performance Cruising Yachts (previously US Yachts) was established in 2003 by Olympic Yachtsman Matt Hayes as the sister company to Sydney By Sail yacht charters est. 1995 to import the Hunter range of luxury cruising yachts from North America.
Both companies operate out of the Sydney By Sail base at Darling Harbour, Sydney. Performance Cruising Yachts employ a team of professionals to sell market, commission and engage in high levels of customer service. The team is headed up by General Manager Edward Penn.
Performance Cruising Yachts stable of brands include Dufour from France, Elan performance cruising yachts from Slovenia and Impression deck salon cruising yachts made by Elan.
The sister company of Performance Cruising Yachts is Sydney By Sail, which is Sydney’s leading Sail Charter Company and has been around for over twenty years. Sydney By Sail has won many awards including the City of Sydney Best Business Award for Darling Harbour and been nominated as a finalist on numerous occasions in the Telstra Small Business awards.
